FLOWERS are 3-4cm across, white and 3-petalled; females solitary, males in clusters of 2-3 (Jun-Aug). FRUITS are capsules. LEAVES are 30-40cm long, lanceolate and toothed; in a tufted rosette. STATUS-Local native in E Anglia; scarce introduction elsewhere.
