  • King Eider Somateria spectabilis L 55-62cm. Arctic seaduck that associates with Eider flocks. Spectacular male has blue head, red bill and mainly black body plumage with a pinkish orange breast. Marbled brown female is distinguished from Eider by smaller bill. Usually found in winter and typically long-staying.
