FLOWERS are 3-4mm across, white, 4-petalled and star-shaped; in clusters (May-Jun). FRUITS are nutlets with hooked bristles. LEAVES are lanceolate and borne in whorls of 6 to 8; leaf margins are bristly. STATUS-Locally common, except in N.
