LOOSE-FLOWERED ORCHID Orchis laxiflora Height to 1m. Is a tall, elegant perennial. Its pinkish purple flowers recall those of Early-purple Orchid but are more showy and borne on long stalks in open spikes (May-Jul). It grows in damp grassland and, in our region, is confined to the Channel Islands.
