130654 SEA MOUSE-EAR Cerastium diffusum (Caryophyllaceae) Height to 30cm. Low annual that is sometimes prostrate. Covered in sticky hairs and found on sandy ground, mainly near the sea. FLOWERS are white and 3-6mm across, with notched petals (Apr-Jul). FRUITS are capsules. LEAVES are ovate and dark green; bracts do no have transparent margins. STATUS-Locally common near the coast but scarce inland.
