ZIGZAG CLOVER Trifolium medium (Fabaceae) Height to 50cm. Downy perennial of undisturbed grassy places. Similar to Red Clover but has zigzag stems. FLOWERS are reddish purple and borne in short-stalked heads that are 2-3cm across (May-Jul). FRUITS are concealed by calyx.
