FLOWERS are white (or tinged pink); borne in terminal, long-stalked umbels, 2-4cm, across with 5-12 rays (Jul-Aug). FRUITS are egg-shaped with hooked, purple bristles. LEAVES are 1- to 3-pinnate and hairy. STATUS-Widespread and common.
