MARSH RAGWORT Senecio aquaticus (Asteraceae) Height to 80cm. Poisonous biennial or perennial that grows in damp grassy places and marshes. FLOWERS are yellow and borne in heads, 20-30mm across; these are carried in open clusters that are fewer-flowered than Common Ragwort and are not flat-topped (Jul-Aug). FRUITS are downy. LEAVES either have a larger end lobe than those of Common Ragwort, or are undivided. STATUS-Widespread and locally common in suitable habitats.
