ROCK SEA-SPURREY Spergularia rupicola (Caryophyllaceae) Height to 20cm. Stickily hairy perennial, often with purplish stems. Found on cliffs and rocky places near the sea. Sometimes forms clumps with woody bases. FLOWERS are pink, 5-petalled (petals and sepals equal) and 8-10mm across (Jun-Sep). FRUITS are capsules.
