129521 Glossy Ibis Plegadis falcinellus L 55-65cm. Wetland bird with heron-like proportions and Curlew-like bill. Maroon and metallic plumage is only obvious in good light. Breeds in S Europe and winters mainly in Africa. Occasional visitors here are often long-stayers.
