128381 HEATH LOBELIA Lobelia urens (Campanulaceae) Height to 50cm. Upright, hairless perennial with angled stems. Grows on damp, grassy heaths and along woodland rides, on acid soils. FLOWERS are 10-15mm long, the corolla bluish purple and 2-lipped, with 2 narrow upper lobes and 3 narrow lower lobes; in open spikes on long stalks (Jul-Aug). FRUITS are capsules. LEAVES are dark green, oval at the base of the plant, narrow on the stem. STATUS-Local and scarce, mainly Sussex to Devon.
