131697 CLUSTERED BELLFLOWER Campanula glomerata (Campanulaceae) Height to 25cm. Upright, robust and hairy perennial that grows on grassland and verges, on calcareous soils. FLOWERS are 15-25mm long, the corolla violet-blue and bell-shaped, with blunt teeth; borne mainly in terminal clusters (Jun-Oct). FRUITS are dry capsules. LEAVES are long-stalked and heart-shaped at the base of the plant but narrower and clasping on the stem. STATUS-Locally common in S and E England but scarce or absent elsewhere.
